Dr. Corey Idrogo and the team at Centered Spine & Joint work with patients with varying levels of injury and pain. Musculoskeletal ultrasound is a service that allows the team to diagnose injuries and guide procedures.
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Available to All Patients at Centered Spine & Joint
Musculoskeletal ultrasound is important because it helps Dr. Idrogo and his team to view a patient’s musculoskeletal system. Sound waves are produced from the ultrasound machine which, in turn, produces images of muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments throughout the body. In some cases, it can even view stress fractures that are not always visible with an MRI.
Musculoskeletal ultrasound is used in a variety of ways at our Chattanooga chiropractic center. The primary reason is for diagnostic purposes. Musculoskeletal ultrasound imagining helps determine what is wrong with the affected tissue of muscle in order to properly prescribe the best form of treatment. Ultrasound also allows the team to visualize nerve structures and blood vessels at a safe distance rather than disrupting them with injection therapies. After our team uncovers the cause of a patient’s injury or pain with musculoskeletal ultrasound, they may provide gentle chiropractic adjustments, rehabilitative exercise therapy, regenerative medicine or trigger point injections.
